North Korean missile technology, who cares?

I keep hearing about how North Korea is advancing in missile technology and nuclear weaponry and how they could be capable of reaching US soil with their missiles in two to three years. When I stop and think about this statement I find myself asking “who cares if they make missiles to reach the US?”

Here’s why: The fact remains that even if North Korea could fire a rocket at the US, we have the technology to intercept it and blow it up possibly before it even leaves the Korean peninsula… Maybe not that soon, but regardless there is no way we’d let a missile travel all the way across the Pacific to hit the motherland…

Now if North Korea had friends, or even had something to bargain with, it could be a concern… The fact remains that they don’t. They are the Hermit Kingdom. They do not have the resources or connections to plant nuke a missile launching pad anywhere near the US.

So please media, stop fear mongering the US citizens with statements that claim North Korean missiles could reach the US in two to three years… Because in the context that I’ve just explained, it doesn’t even matter…
